About me

So by that time you are probably wondering who am I to write such a blog, right?

OK, first things first.

It all started in 2009 when I got my first digital camera as a present.

From that moment on I started seeing the world through the lens (mostly). It took years to self-teach myself (because it took time for me to realize that photography was not just a hobby, but a way of life) with books and a lot of crap pictures. I've heard most of the insulting comments people can come up with during these years - from being a stupid wench/bimbo who'd better keep of the camera equipment to being unoriginal and so on and so forth.

So what I was trying to say is that I know how hard it is to start and how unwelcoming the fellow colleagues - photographers can be to a newbie.

When I started selling my work at the beginning of 2015 (in case you didn't notice - 6 years after I started taking pictures) I decided that selling the pictures alone is not enough. People see a beautiful picture and admire it. There are few that go beyond that however, those who think 'I want to be there, at that place and take a better one' or 'It would be wonderful to be like him/her'.

So I created a website to channel it all. Then, a few months later, the idea of a blog came about - when I saw that websites have certain limits and you can't just share what is on your mind.

So here we come to the blog. It's main language will be ENGLISH for both convenience's sake and because that way many people are likely to notice it :) It's purpose will be complex, though. I will share what's on my mind, some ideas and tips and occasionally - a travelogue.

But that time - if you didn't give up in the beginning - you are already wondering 'Who are you?'

OK, I am a female born in 1992 native to and living in Bulgaria. (Sounds like an introduction in those sites where people register to find a soul mate, right?).
I have a degree in English Philology (that means - English and American studies or in plain language - English and American language culture and a hell a lot more of things you don't care about). The former means that I don't have a degree in photography for various reasons - one of them and maybe the main one is that I don't think that you need to study in school in order to be a photographer - you either see it or you don't.
Photography has been a passion for me for the past 6 years and the more I shoot, the more I want to keep on doing it.
